1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, accessing, or using the Drive Status mobile application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Drive Status is a license status monitoring application that allows users to check and monitor their driver's license suspension status across all U.S. states. The App uses licensed third-party background check services to retrieve license status information from state DMV databases nationwide.
3. User Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By using Drive Status, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use background check services in your jurisdiction.
4. User Obligations
By using Drive Status, you agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful personal information
- Use the App solely for lawful personal purposes
- Not use the App to check the license status of another person without their consent
- Not attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or misuse the App or its data
- Comply with all applicable federal and state laws regarding driver's license information
5. Subscription and Payments
- Drive Status offers a monthly subscription service at $9.99/month
- Subscriptions are billed through Apple's in-app purchase system
- Apple collects payment on our behalf and remits our portion accordingly
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the billing period
- You can manage and cancel your subscription through your Apple ID account settings
- No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods unless required by law
6. Background Check Services
- Drive Status partners with licensed third-party data providers to retrieve license status information
- All background check data is retrieved in compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Results are provided for personal informational use only
- Drive Status does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of information provided
- Users acknowledge that license status information may vary by state and may not reflect real-time DMV data
7. Permissible Use
Drive Status is intended solely for personal use to monitor your own driver's license status. You may not use this App to:
- Screen employees or job applicants
- Make lending or housing decisions about others
- Investigate or surveil other individuals
- Any purpose that violates the FCRA or applicable state laws
8. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property within the Drive Status App are owned by Drive Status LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without express written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
Drive Status is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that the information provided will be accurate or complete at all times.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Drive Status LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to decisions made based on license status information provided.
11. Termination
Drive Status LLC reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
